A Federation is a supranational alliance of space-faring civilizations.

By assigning an Official to coordinate diplomatic affairs, the stability and Cohesion of the Federation is increased, which can unlock Federation Perks.

There are different types of Federations:

- Galactic Union

- Martial Alliance

- Research Cooperative

- Holy Covenant

- Trade League
