What StellarisDB keeps about visitors.
Analytics
Visits are counted twice: by Umami (no cookies, no personal data; addresses are not stored) and by Google Analytics, which shows which pages are read, how people found them, and their country and device — as totals, to see which pages help.
In the European Union, the rest of the EEA, the UK and Switzerland Google Analytics sets no cookies: each page view is a ping without an identifier. Everywhere else it sets the _ga cookies, so that a return visit counts as the same visitor; block cookies for this site or use Google's opt-out add-on to refuse them. No advertising cookies are set.
Your theme choice and tool settings stay in your browser's local storage and never leave it.
Your list and our cards on other sites
Things you collect with “+ List” stay in your browser's local storage until you clear them; a list leaves it only when you copy or share its link. Our hover-card script on other sites (see For creators) sends at most one anonymous count per page view — the site's domain and how many of our cards it shows, no cookies, no personal data — and sends nothing with ping: false.
Reports
If you send a “Report a mistake” message, we keep the page address, your text, the game version shown, your browser's language, user agent and window width, and a salted hash of your IP address used only to limit how many reports one sender can make. We use it only to fix pages.
