Galactic Crucible
Galactic Crucible is a megastructure in Stellaris 4.5.2 built in 5 stages. All stages take 42 years and 40,500 Crystallized Entropy, 2,500 Alloys (the costs every empire pays).
Where to build a Galactic Crucible
The game's own requirement line, then the conditions of the first stage (possible) and of the planet or star it goes around (placement_rules).
- Cannot build around Protostars.
- Must build around a star.
- Cannot build on planets that have unresearched anomalies discovered by us or any other Empire.
- When from (Not: Nomadic empire)
- The system has a starbase
- Cannot build outside Empire borders.
- Otherwise
- Requires the system is on a Wayline with a Wayport or Wayhold.
- When Not: any starbase in system (Is waystation starbase; owner? (Is the same as: the scope that called it))
- Cannot build in systems that have not been surveyed.
- Cannot construct in the same system as an existing Arc Furnace
- Cannot construct in the same system as an ongoing Arc Furnace construction
- Cannot build around Black Holes, Neutron Stars or Pulsars.
- Cannot build this in Binary or Trinary systems.
- Cannot build due to existing Megastructure.
- Cannot build in systems with existing colonies
- Cannot destroy one of our Consecrated Worlds.
Galactic Crucible stages
Cost lines with a condition apply only to the empires it names (bio-ship empires pay food instead of part of the alloys).
How it's counted
Totals in the head count only the costs every empire pays: 40,500 Crystallized Entropy, 2,500 Alloys.
Galactic Crucible Frame
The foundational framework of a Galactic Crucible, built to support and guide the rest of the station's construction.
Galactic Crucible Chassis
With its core infrastructure complete, the Galactic Crucible is now a functional station. Construction of the entropy crystallization systems is already underway.
- +150Naval Capacity
Galactic Crucible Core
The Galactic Crucible is now fully operational and ready to expand deployment of Crystallized Entropy. All future upgrades will depend on this foundation. Complete the Special Project to unlock the next stage.
- +225Naval Capacity
Galactic Crucible Hub
The expanding Galactic Crucible now features modular entropic systems, designed for seamless reconfiguration and growth. Technicians can increase its capacity while minimizing inefficiencies.
- +300Naval Capacity
Galactic Crucible
Fully armed and operational, the Galactic Crucible stands ready to unleash its fiery scouring across the galaxy. Entropic flux systems now operate at peak theoretical efficiency.
- +375Naval Capacity
How to unlock the Galactic Crucible
No technology unlocks it in the files.
Who can build it (potential)
- Has crisis level: Concern
- Not: Country flag: built_galactic_crucible
Other versions of the Galactic Crucible
Ruins the galaxy can start with or a war leaves behind (restoring one is its own chain of stages) and upgrades that branch off the main line.
Ruined Galactic Crucible (ruined)
Ruined Galactic Crucible
A ruined shipyard, once forged to serve the fiery ambitions of a fallen empire.
Galactic Crucible Institute (another upgrade)
Galactic Crucible Institute
The Galactic Crucible has been irreversibly re-engineered to prevent dangerously high energy output. It will remain a stable and secure source of prosperity for the empire.
Galactic Crucible: questions
