Gateway
Gateway is a megastructure in Stellaris 4.5.2 built in 2 stages. Must be built outside a system's gravity well. It needs the Gateway Construction technology. All stages take 8 years and 75 Influence, 6,000 Energy Credits (the costs every empire pays).
Where to build a Gateway
The game's own requirement line, then the conditions of the first stage (possible) and of the planet or star it goes around (placement_rules).
Must be built outside a system's gravity well.
- When from (Not: Nomadic empire)
- The system has a starbase
- Cannot build outside Empire or Subject borders.
- Otherwise
- Requires the system is on a Wayline with a Wayport or Wayhold.
- Cannot build in systems that have not been surveyed.
- Cannot build due to existing Gateway.
- Requires technology Gateway Construction.
Gateway stages
Cost lines with a condition apply only to the empires it names (bio-ship empires pay food instead of part of the alloys).

Totals in the head count only the costs every empire pays: 75 Influence, 6,000 Energy Credits.
