Ring World
Ring World is a megastructure in Stellaris 4.5.2 built in 4 stages. Must be built in a system with no habitable planets or habitats. It needs the Ring Segment technology. All stages take 340 months and 300 Influence (the costs every empire pays).
Where to build a Ring World
The game's own requirement line, then the conditions of the first stage (possible) and of the planet or star it goes around (placement_rules).
Must be built in a system with no habitable planets or habitats.
- Cannot build around Protostars.
- Must build around a star.
- Cannot build on planets that have unresearched anomalies discovered by us or any other Empire.
- Cannot build in systems without planetary bodies for material.
- The system has a starbase
- Cannot build outside Empire borders.
- Cannot build in systems that have not been surveyed.
- Cannot build in systems with habitable planets.
- Cannot build Ring Worlds around Black Holes.
- Cannot build this in Binary or Trinary systems.
- Cannot build due to existing Megastructure.
Ring World stages
Cost lines with a condition apply only to the empires it names (bio-ship empires pay food instead of part of the alloys).
How it's counted
Totals in the head count only the costs every empire pays: 300 Influence.
Ring World Site
This complex will serve as a staging ground, resource depot and living quarters for the hundreds of thousands of personnel involved in the Ring World's construction.
Ring World Frame
This initial skeletal frame encircles the system's sun, and serves as the platform on which we will eventually build fully habitable sections.
More conditions for this stage
- Cannot destroy one of our Consecrated Worlds.
Ring World Frame Section
This skeletal frame section makes up roughly one quarter of the unfinished Ring World's total surface area. Work on the smaller habitable section has not yet been completed.
Completed Ring World Section
A fully functional habitable Ring World section, complete with an active biosphere, that is ready for settlement.
How to unlock the Ring World
Other versions of the Ring World
Ruins the galaxy can start with or a war leaves behind (restoring one is its own chain of stages) and upgrades that branch off the main line.
Ruined Ring Section (ruined)
Ruined Ring Section
This section of the Ring World once supported a functional biosphere, but no longer. Repairs are theoretically feasible, but it would require advanced technology and a large amount of resources.
Completed Ring World Section
A fully functional habitable Ring World section, complete with an active biosphere, that is ready for settlement.
