Quantum Catapult
Quantum Catapult is a megastructure in Stellaris 4.5.2 built in 4 stages. Must be built on a Neutron Star or Pulsar. It needs the Quantum Catapult technology. All stages take 20 years and 2,000 Alloys and 300 Influence (the costs every empire pays).
Where to build a Quantum Catapult
The game's own requirement line, then the conditions of the first stage (possible) and of the planet or star it goes around (placement_rules).
Must be built on a Neutron Star or Pulsar.
- Cannot build on planets that have unresearched anomalies discovered by us or any other Empire.
- Must be built around a Neutron Star or Pulsar.
- When from (Not: Nomadic empire)
- The system has a starbase
- Cannot build outside Empire borders.
- Otherwise
- Requires the system is on a Wayline with a Wayport or Wayhold.
- Cannot build due to existing Megastructure.
- When Not: any starbase in system (Is waystation starbase; owner? (Is the same as: the scope that called it))
- Cannot build in systems that have not been surveyed.
Quantum Catapult stages
Cost lines with a condition apply only to the empires it names (bio-ship empires pay food instead of part of the alloys).
How it's counted
Totals in the head count only the costs every empire pays: 2,000 Alloys, 300 Influence.
Quantum Catapult Site
This compact supply depot gathers all the materials and personnel necessary to construct the first batch of vast focusing lenses for the Quantum Catapult.
Quantum Catapult Single Array
Calculations have shown that even a scant few torsion lenses, installed at precise locations around their star, can channel enough energy to enable semi-volatile trajectories across interstellar space.

- +50Catapult Accuracy (Base)
- +300Catapult Range (Base)
- 0%Catapult Windup
Quantum Catapult Twin Arrays
Twin arrays of torsion lenses are placed diametrically opposite each other in order to improve the channeling of stellar flux as a means of transportation.
- -20%Time Spent Missing In Action
- +35Catapult Accuracy (Base)
- +450Catapult Range (Base)
- -25%Catapult Windup

Quantum Catapult
A linked cage of torsion lenses around the star ensures optimal throughput from the energy being captured to its release as a means of interstellar transportation.

- +750Catapult Range (Base)

Other versions of the Quantum Catapult
Ruins the galaxy can start with or a war leaves behind (restoring one is its own chain of stages) and upgrades that branch off the main line.
Ruined Quantum Catapult (ruined)
Ruined Quantum Catapult
This arrangement of vast lenses was designed to focus energy from the star it encompasses. Such an energy source would be powerful enough to launch ships across interstellar space - if only the array weren't so misaligned, and in clear need of repair.

Ruined Quantum Catapult (permanently ruined)
Ruined Quantum Catapult
With the destruction of the star it used for torsion, this catapult will fire no more. It has been damaged beyond repair.

Quantum Catapult: questions
Where can I build a Quantum Catapult?
Must be built on a Neutron Star or Pulsar. Cannot build on planets that have unresearched anomalies discovered by us or any other Empire. Must be built around a Neutron Star or Pulsar.
How do I unlock the Quantum Catapult?
Research Quantum Catapult.
How long does a Quantum Catapult take to build?
20 years for all 4 stages (Quantum Catapult Site: 1800 days, Quantum Catapult Single Array: 1800 days, Quantum Catapult Twin Arrays: 1800 days, Quantum Catapult: 1800 days), before build-speed modifiers.
