Omega Theory
Omega Theory is a rare dangerous tier 3 physics technology (Particles) in Stellaris 4.5.2. Its base cost is 10,000 research. It needs Entropic Recursion and Doctrine: Strange Loop. It unlocks Omega Alignment. Console: research_technology tech_akx_worm_3.
What Omega Theory unlocks
Everything in the game files that lists this technology as a prerequisite; “condition” marks objects that check for it in their conditions instead.
How to get Omega Theory
Research in Stellaris is drawn: each area offers 3 cards at a time, weighted by each technology's draw weight (here 60) and its weight modifiers. Tier 3 opens after 6 tier 2 technologies of the same area. As a rare technology it is drawn less often, and some rare ones only appear after an event, a relic or a special project.
In the game
When a temporal paradox becomes tangled, a kind of consciousness arises, with its own needs, its own desires. This is what has occurred with the consciousness that some call the Worm-in-Waiting. If we can align ourselves with that consciousness, we might just achieve a kind of immortality.
Console command
Typed in the game's console (the ~ key); achievements are off for that game.

}Omega Theory: questions
How do I get Omega Theory in Stellaris?
Research Entropic Recursion and Doctrine: Strange Loop first; then Omega Theory can be drawn as one of the 3 physics research options. It is a rare technology: its draw weight is low, and some are only offered after an event, a relic or a special project.
What does Omega Theory do?
It unlocks Omega Alignment (building).
What is the ID of Omega Theory?
The technology's ID is tech_akx_worm_3. To get it with the console: research_technology tech_akx_worm_3 (Stellaris 4.5.2).
How much does Omega Theory cost?
10,000 physics research before modifiers. In game the cost grows with empire size (+0.2% per point above the base, common/defines) and the galaxy's tech cost setting.
