L-Gate Activation
L-Gate Activation is a rare dangerous tier 3 physics technology (Particles) in Stellaris 4.5.2. Its base cost is 6,000 research. It has no prerequisite technology. Console: research_technology tech_lgate_activation.
What L-Gate Activation does
Modifiers as the game prints them, from the technology's modifier block; then the unlock lines its research card shows.
- Unlocks Special Project: Activate L-GateResearching this technology will unlock a special project to activate an L-Gate if any are located within our owned space.
How to get L-Gate Activation
Research in Stellaris is drawn: each area offers 3 cards at a time, weighted by each technology's draw weight (here 0) and its weight modifiers. Tier 3 opens after 6 tier 2 technologies of the same area. As a rare technology it is drawn less often, and some rare ones only appear after an event, a relic or a special project.
It needs no other technology.
- Not: Galaxy flag: l_cluster_opened
In the game
The L-Gates defy our current understanding of subspace mechanics. This must be remedied before they can be opened for travel.
