Rift Sphere
Rift Sphere is a rare tier 2 physics technology (Field Manipulation) in Stellaris 4.5.2. Its base cost is 5,000 research. It has no prerequisite technology. It unlocks Strange Wormhole, Planar Theorist and Riftwalker. Console: research_technology tech_rift_sphere.
What Rift Sphere unlocks
Everything in the game files that lists this technology as a prerequisite; “condition” marks objects that check for it in their conditions instead.
- Strange Wormhole
How to get Rift Sphere
Research in Stellaris is drawn: each area offers 3 cards at a time, weighted by each technology's draw weight (here 0) and its weight modifiers. Tier 2 opens after 6 tier 1 technologies of the same area. As a rare technology it is drawn less often, and some rare ones only appear after an event, a relic or a special project.
It needs no other technology.
- DLC: astral planes
In the game
It seems that space and time tend to gather together in layers, all laid on top of one another. The trick is how to slip between the folds.
Console command
Typed in the game's console (the ~ key); achievements are off for that game.
