How to get Nutrient Replication

Research in Stellaris is drawn: each area offers 3 cards at a time, weighted by each technology's draw weight (here 35) and its weight modifiers. Tier 4 opens after 6 tier 3 technologies of the same area. As a rare technology it is drawn less often, and some rare ones only appear after an event, a relic or a special project.

In the game

The process of synthetically replicating crops requires a lot of collected waste to create a small amount of produce, but nevertheless provides a significant boost to agricultural output.

Nutrient Replication: questions

How do I get Nutrient Replication in Stellaris?

Research Nano-Vitality Crops first (4 technologies in the whole chain); then Nutrient Replication can be drawn as one of the 3 society research options. It is a rare technology: its draw weight is low, and some are only offered after an event, a relic or a special project. It also has conditions (see Requirements on this page).

What does Nutrient Replication do?

It gives +5% Food Produced from Farmers.

What is the ID of Nutrient Replication?

The technology's ID is tech_nutrient_replication. To get it with the console: research_technology tech_nutrient_replication (Stellaris 4.5.2).

How much does Nutrient Replication cost?

12,000 society research before modifiers. In game the cost grows with empire size (+0.2% per point above the base, common/defines) and the galaxy's tech cost setting.
