Jump Drive
Jump Drive is a rare dangerous tier 5 physics technology (Particles) in Stellaris 4.5.2. Its base cost is 16,000 research. It needs Zero Point Power. It unlocks Hyperdimensional Inner-Ear, Jump Drive and Jump Organ and leads to Exodus Jump Coordinator. Console: research_technology tech_jump_drive_1.
What Jump Drive does
Modifiers as the game prints them, from the technology's modifier block; then the unlock lines its research card shows.
- Unlocks Component: Jump DriveJump Drive A groundbreaking technological marvel, the Jump Drive shreds the local space-time continuum and rearranges it on the quantum level to be identical to that of the target destination - and thus the ship appears to near-instantly "jump" from system to system.
What Jump Drive unlocks
Everything in the game files that lists this technology as a prerequisite; “condition” marks objects that check for it in their conditions instead.
How to get Jump Drive
Research in Stellaris is drawn: each area offers 3 cards at a time, weighted by each technology's draw weight (here 30) and its weight modifiers. Tier 5 opens after 6 tier 4 technologies of the same area. As a rare technology it is drawn less often, and some rare ones only appear after an event, a relic or a special project.

Other names for some empires
technology_swap: the same research shows another name (and sometimes other effects) when its condition holds.

How do I get Jump Drive in Stellaris?
Research Zero Point Power first (5 technologies in the whole chain); then Jump Drive can be drawn as one of the 3 physics research options. It is a rare technology: its draw weight is low, and some are only offered after an event, a relic or a special project.
What does Jump Drive do?
It unlocks Hyperdimensional Inner-Ear (ship component), Jump Drive (ship component) and Jump Organ (ship component). It leads to Exodus Jump Coordinator.
What is the ID of Jump Drive?
The technology's ID is tech_jump_drive_1. To get it with the console: research_technology tech_jump_drive_1 (Stellaris 4.5.2).
How much does Jump Drive cost?
16,000 physics research before modifiers. In game the cost grows with empire size (+0.2% per point above the base, common/defines) and the galaxy's tech cost setting.
