What Disruptors unlocks

Everything in the game files that lists this technology as a prerequisite; “condition” marks objects that check for it in their conditions instead.

How to get Disruptors

Research in Stellaris is drawn: each area offers 3 cards at a time, weighted by each technology's draw weight (here 75) and its weight modifiers. Tier 2 opens after 6 tier 1 technologies of the same area.

Other names for some empires

technology_swap: the same research shows another name (and sometimes other effects) when its condition holds.

In the game

Disruptors fire high-energy bolts that weaken and destroy the molecular bonds that hold the target's constituent atoms together. They are capable of passing through shields and armor to wreak havoc directly on enemy hull and crew.

Disruptors: questions

How do I get Disruptors in Stellaris?

Research Blue Lasers first (2 technologies in the whole chain); then Disruptors can be drawn as one of the 3 physics research options.

What does Disruptors do?

It unlocks Medium Disruptor (ship component), Molecular Disruptor (ship component) and Small Disruptor (ship component). It leads to Ion Disruptors.

What is the ID of Disruptors?

The technology's ID is tech_disruptors_1. To get it with the console: research_technology tech_disruptors_1 (Stellaris 4.5.2).

How much does Disruptors cost?

2,500 physics research before modifiers. In game the cost grows with empire size (+0.2% per point above the base, common/defines) and the galaxy's tech cost setting.
